Two for One

The card I made today is for two challenges; Less is More's week 6 challenge, Off the Edge, and Mark's Finest Papers Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge #46, to use lime green and gray on a one layer card.  (Thank you Susan, a.k.a. LateBlossom.)

I got out some previously uninked sets from my New Stamp Basket, and stamped away.

Susan has used this color combo before, but I had never tried it.  Now I can see why she loves it so much.  I will definitely be using it again.

The tree might be a little small in scale for this layout, but I think the placement of the sentiment helps to balance the card.  And bling because a little bling never hurt anyone.

Supplies:
Stamps - Forest Friends, TPC Patterned Borders, PTI Sentiments
Paper - GKD PL white
Ink - Memento pear tart, London fog
Accessories - London fog marker, rhinestones

A little note about word verification for the Less is More crowd...I turned off word verification last week and was inundated with spam comments, so I turned it back on.  If you don't wish to comment, I'm ok with that.  I don't judge my work by the number of comments I get, I only hope you find inspiration from my creations.  Thank you for understanding.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

K

Oh I love how you used that smaller tree and made it work on a standard card...nicely done with super placement and balance!

Thanks for playing with Speedy's friends, Karen.

And how weird that you got spam comments. I've had my WV turned off for months and haven't received any. Now, I've jinxed myself...but it's still strange. Wonder what the difference is.

I don't get spam comments either and haven't used word verification for years. You must be really unlucky. Did you have blog owners comment moderation switched on?
I love this colour combo and you're right a bit of bling never hurt anyone!

I do love this color combo...and thought about playing with Susan's challenge...but just haven't done it. I love the tree...and that stamp you used for grounding it is awesome as grass.

I have my verification turned off, but I have turned on moderation...meaning that I have to approve the message before it will post, that way I could just delete any unwanted posts. I've never had any spam though and I have had a blog for several years now.

Great job on the color challenge! Thanks for playing along with Speedy's Friends!
No spam for me either. I have verification off and I don't moderate either. However, I do not allow anonymous commentors- could that be how spam gets through to you?

A really lovely card with gorgeous colours. I think the tree is just the right size, and the whole card is perfectly balanced.

I got spam comments when I turned off WF, but realised that in my blog settings, under "Who can comment" I had it set on "Anyone". I've changed it to "Registered Users", and haven't had any spam since then.
